The role
A Principal Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for leading the design and development of electrical control systems for complex machinery, ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as EN60204-33, EN13849, UL, CSA, and CE marking. They act as a technical leader and subject-matter expert, promoting engineering excellence and ensuring high-quality standards across projects. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, translating technical requirements into scalable designs, and supporting supplier engagement and process improvements. The engineer will also develop design tools, automation, and workflow enhancements while supporting departmental strategy and operations. Strong technical skills, leadership ability, and familiarity with international standards are essential, along with excellent communication abilities for stakeholder engagement.
