The role
A game developer builds interactive games ranging from AAA console titles to mobile and indie games. They work with Unity, Unreal Engine, or proprietary engines to develop engaging content. The role involves specialising in gameplay programming, graphics, artificial intelligence, networking or audio, and working across console, PC, mobile and emerging VR/AR platforms. Developers may collaborate with studios such as Rockstar Games, Codemasters, or indie developers. Proficiency in programming and technical problem-solving is essential, along with familiarity with game engines and software development practices. The job requires continuous learning to keep pace with rapidly evolving game technologies and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
