The role
A manufacturing engineer with MSC in Wednesbury is responsible for providing technical support across milling, turning and multi-axis machining environments. They develop, optimise and troubleshoot CNC programmes for various machining applications, focusing on enhancing accuracy, efficiency and process reliability. The role involves working with advanced CAD/CAM platforms such as Fusion 360, HyperMill and NX, supporting customers using modern machining technologies. Collaboration with internal teams, customers and suppliers to deliver process improvements and machining optimisation projects is essential. The engineer applies engineering judgment to solve machining challenges, improve tool life and reduce cycle times while ensuring safety and compliance. They need strong CAD/CAM programming experience, a deep understanding of machining fundamentals, and excellent problem-solving skills.
