The role
The Safety & Environmental Engineer for Thales in Belfast is responsible for managing safety activities within bids and projects to minimise product risks to a practical level. This role involves conducting hazard analyses, risk assessments, and developing safety and environmental requirements throughout the product lifecycle. The engineer will communicate safety cases and ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation. Responsibilities include hazard analysis reports, safety cases, and providing technical guidance to design teams. A background in safety engineering, risk evaluation, and environmental analysis is essential, along with knowledge of airworthiness standards. Qualifications should include a science or engineering degree, safety credentials, and experience in safety engineering environments.
