The role
Provide comprehensive medication therapy management for diverse inpatient populations, including acute care, emergency department, and psychiatry units, on a weekend schedule.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Monitor patient responses to medications, adjust therapies based on physiology, pharmacology knowledge, and clinical assessment.
Oversee medication preparation and administration, ensuring aseptic techniques and proper IV infusion practices.
Manage acute pain and pain management protocols across emergency and critical care settings.
Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication use, safety, and procedures; maintain documentation and participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
