The role
Lead electrical engineering work focused on roadway lighting for expressways, arterial roads, roundabouts, tunnels, and bridges.
Conduct site surveys and field inspections of electrical equipment to inform design and installation.
Develop plans, special provisions, pay items, and quantities for lighting projects on diverse roadways.
Develop photometric calculations using AGi32 and review existing AS BUILT electrical/lighting plans.
Prepare project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and provide technical support to project teams.
Stay current on roadway lighting technology, respond to RFIs, and ensure compliance with IES guidelines and NEC codes and state DOT standards (e.g., WisDOT, CDOT, IDOT).
