The role
A professional organisation in Birmingham is seeking a paralegal to support its employment law department. The role involves advising clients on matters such as employment contracts, leave entitlements, grievances, and disciplinary procedures, encompassing both contentious and non-contentious cases. The successful candidate will have completed the Legal Practice Course and its Employment Law elective, or possess relevant employment law experience as a career paralegal. Responsibilities include managing caseloads, supporting solicitors, and handling regulatory matters, with training provided for regulatory aspects. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure while providing accurate and timely legal advice. Initially a 12-month fixed-term contract, there is potential for extension in a dynamic and varied legal environment.
