The role
A senior software engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving backend systems and APIs within a company specialising in software solutions for online and offline brands. The role involves designing scalable, well-tested, and high-performance services, operating independently, and making technical decisions that balance speed and quality. Candidates should have extensive experience with C#, Java, SQL databases, and cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, along with strong debugging skills. They will participate in technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with teams including Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver customer value. The work requires a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to enhance existing codebases without over-engineering. Attention to practical product problems and improving system reliability are key aspects of the role.
