The role
Teach a robust high school ELA curriculum with inclusive, diverse texts to prepare students for AP, SAT, and college coursework.
Guide deep literary explorations and facilitate student-led discourse, helping students use textual evidence to support complex claims.
Develop and assess reading, writing, and discussion skills, and differentiate instruction to meet all learners' needs.
Analyze student work and collaborate with department and grade-level teams to adapt lessons and strategies for maximum learning.
Build positive relationships with students and families, and engage in practice-based professional development and coaching.
Participate in weekly school-wide meetings and contribute to setting academic goals and cultivating a culture of achievement.
