The role
Lead independent security assessments of IT systems and software to verify the effectiveness of security controls.
Perform risk and vulnerability assessments and develop artifacts for DoD and Federal authorization efforts (CtF and cATO BoE).
Review software design, architecture, ports and protocols, and support authorization readiness.
Collaborate with engineers to plan, implement, and document security controls across cloud and on-premises environments.
Produce policy and technical documentation, briefings, and reports for the SCA, AO, and CISO.
Maintain current knowledge of NIST, DoD cybersecurity guidance, and DevSecOps practices including containerization and cloud security.
