The role
The Medical Doctor Degree Apprenticeship (MDDA) provides an alternative pathway into medicine for applicants, combining academic study with work-based experience. Apprentices will be employed by ESNEFT and released for full-time attendance at Anglia Ruskin University School of Medicine. The programme involves rotations in various health care roles, some patient-facing, supporting medical training and development. It spans five years, with work roles such as clinical coding assistants, ward clerks, and patient liaison officers, among others. Full-time presence at university in Chelmsford is mandatory, and applicants must demonstrate a commitment to live and work in the East of England. The scheme requires prior mandatory attendance at information sessions and validation via an MDDA Reference Code.
