The role
Provides risk-focused legal guidance to internal clients in healthcare settings, supporting effective change management and patient safety initiatives.
Leads evaluation of medical malpractice and personal injury matters, developing defensible claims strategies and prudent legal reserves.
Manages outside counsel and coordinates discovery, subpoenas, depositions, scheduling, and related litigation activities.
Investigates events for legal, risk, and reputational implications, maintaining thorough, concise claims files and management reporting.
Communicates insights to clinical and business units, participates in committees, and delivers risk and litigation presentations.
Stays current on state and federal litigation trends, supports indemnity planning, and may travel or be on-call as required.
