The role
A vacant position for a shuttering carpenter and handyman is available in Newcastle, with a contract lasting 12 to 18 months. The role entails performing general handyman tasks and specific shuttering/formwork duties for concrete works, supporting site operations, maintaining safety standards, and assisting with ad-hoc activities. Candidates should have experience in formwork carpentry, basic handyman skills, a valid CSCS card, and their own tools and PPE. Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work flexible hours are essential, with weekly pay through CIS scheme. Opportunities include standard and overtime hours, with work ranging up to 65 hours per week depending on workload. An ability to commute or relocate to Newcastle is necessary, along with relevant work authorisation in the UK.
