The role
The procurement specialist role involves providing expert procurement advice and strategy to defence clients in both public and private sectors. Responsibilities include sourcing goods and services, developing procurement strategies, preparing tender packs, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships in a regulated environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in defence, construction, or infrastructure procurement, with knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 and JCT frameworks, and strong stakeholder management skills. A professional qualification in business, procurement, law, or project management, along with relevant security clearance and regulatory knowledge, is essential. The role offers hybrid working with 60% client site or office presence, in line with business needs, and requires UK National status with the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
