The role
A Senior Electrician is responsible for installing, testing, and commissioning electrical systems on commercial solar photovoltaic installations. They work within a small, specialised team to deliver a 200MW solar project, ensuring all work complies with wiring regulations and safety standards. The role requires travelling to various project sites nationwide while based in the North West, handling cable containment, terminations, and electrical connections. Candidates should hold relevant qualifications, including NVQ Level 3 and a valid ECS/JIB Gold Card, and have experience in industrial or commercial electrical work, preferably within renewable energy. The position involves adhering to industry standards and working independently to meet project requirements, using technical skills to ensure successful project completion. A full UK driving licence is necessary, and a willingness to travel is essential.
