The role
A highways electrician is responsible for maintaining street lighting and conducting electrical connections and repairs on infrastructure across Nottingham. The role involves fault diagnosis, technical repairs, and ensuring safety standards are met within outdoor environments. Candidates should possess City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or HERs equivalent, along with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and MEWP safety training. A valid UK driving licence is also required for mobility across sites. Participants will work in outdoor conditions, often operating electrical equipment and diagnostic tools. The position requires attention to safety, technical skills, and the ability to work independently in outdoor environments.
