The role
The Interpreter provides interpretation for Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals, their families, clients, and staff in medical, legal, educational, and social services settings.
In intercultural mediation, you help professionals deliver culturally sensitive care, support, and instruction.
This is an on-site role located in the Bronx with potential assignments in Westchester County (Mount Vernon & New Rochelle) and typical hours from 8 AM to 6 PM, plus occasional Saturdays.
Responsibilities include accurate interpretation, brief non-publication translations, upholding privacy and safety, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Requirements include 1+ year of interpreting experience or a successful internship, a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant certifications preferred; fluency in both English and the target language is essential.
