The role
Seeking a Legal Counsel to provide high-quality, business-focused legal guidance for oil and gas operations, including leasehold and contract matters.
Draft, review, and interpret oil and gas leases, joint operating agreements, surface use agreements, master service agreements, and other commercial contracts.
Manage the full lifecycle of contracts, ensure compliance, and mitigate legal and operational risk across business units.
Review title opinions and title instruments; perform legal research; and support litigation and transaction-related projects.
Represent business units in meetings and committees as required, collaborating with the General Counsel and cross-functional teams.
Requirements include a Juris Doctor, admission to the Texas State Bar, and strong writing, communication, and time-management skills.
