The role
The role involves reporting on breaking news, developing social media relationships, and producing a variety of digital content for a lively local area. The successful candidate will need to be versatile, ideas-driven, and capable of handling fast-paced reporting and feature writing. A fully qualified reporter with a gold-standard NCTJ and 100wpm typing speed is preferred, along with strong digital skills and knowledge of media law. The job offers flexible hybrid working, including home and on-site reporting, with some weekend and shift work involved. Candidates should hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle, as part of the role requires regional coverage and community interaction.
