The role
A support worker is needed in Derby to provide person-centred care for a young boy with cerebral palsy residing in a fully adapted home. The role involves assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, feeding, bathing, and toileting, as well as supporting his development through play and therapeutic exercises. Candidates should exhibit reliability, teamwork, commitment, and be willing to work on a rota including weekdays, weekends, and occasional nights, with training provided by specialists. Experience in delivering complex care and rehabilitation is preferred, alongside a full manual driving licence and a non-smoker status. The position offers part-time, permanent employment with flexible hours, and the successful applicant will work with the team to optimise the child's wellbeing and independence.
