The role
A maintenance electrician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of electrical and mechanical systems on a food manufacturing site in Rothwell. They perform reactive breakdown repairs, planned preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and contribute to equipment improvements. Technical skills include electrical fault finding, working with motors, drives, sensors, control circuits, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Candidates should be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent standard and have experience in FMCG or similar production environments. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently during shifts are essential for maintaining safety and productivity. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment on rotating day shifts, requiring technical expertise and proactive maintenance approach.
