The role
As a Volunteer 501(c)(3) Compliance Officer, you will help ensure adherence to IRS regulations and nonprofit best practices.
You will maintain required governance documents, policies, and filings, and monitor upcoming compliance deadlines.
You will review internal policies for alignment with compliance standards, including Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest, and Whistleblower policies.
You will support governance and board-related compliance matters and assist leadership with records and transparency.
You will research federal and state nonprofit updates and share practical guidance with leadership and staff.
