The role
Provide clinical support in an ambulatory Internal Medicine Hematology-Oncology setting, assisting physicians and nurses with patient care and flow.
Conduct patient intake, including vital signs, height/weight, reason for visit, interim history, allergies, and medication reconciliation.
Prepare exam rooms, support procedures, perform basic lab testing, phlebotomy, EKGs, and administer immunizations and injections as directed.
Administer medications and nebulizer treatments after competency is verified, and document care in the electronic medical record.
Assist with scheduling, test coordination, chart availability, inventory, sterilization, and participation in quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
Requires current Medical Assistant certification, CPR, strong communication, organizational skills, and Epic Ambulatory experience preferred.
