The role
A Modern Apprenticeship Electrician offers a four-year training programme providing on-site learning and academic study, mainly for those with recent secondary education or related criteria. Apprentices will learn essential electrical skills including wiring, installation of fittings, testing, and conduit installation. The programme includes achieving SVQ Level 3/SCQF Level 6 certification, subject to passing all exams and standards. Candidates should be willing to participate in the training, obtain a driving licence, and be able to travel to college and sites across Edinburgh. The apprenticeship is open to a diverse range of applicants, including those with disabilities, care-experience, and those from minority backgrounds, with fair consideration for all based on skills and experience.
