Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist

An experienced Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist is required to manage and operate live supervised machine learning models currently in production within a government environment. The role involves assessing, monitoring, and ensuring the models' operational readiness, governance, and compliance. Candidates will evaluate model drift, retraining strategies, and support the transition between suppliers, providing technical recommendations. It requires strong Python skills, experience with model monitoring, drift detection, and governance, and the ability to understand models built by others. Preference is given to those familiar with Azure Machine Learning, Databricks, and working in regulated sectors. The position demands a pragmatic, risk-aware approach to production machine learning.
