The role
Akkodis is seeking a talented Python Developer to support scientific research projects involving highly distributed software systems. The role involves developing and maintaining robust Python applications for data-intensive operations, applying software engineering best practices such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development. The candidate will engage with highly distributed, multi-core processing environments and contribute to scalable algorithm development. Responsibilities include analysing, processing, and visualising scientific data to support operational needs and research outcomes, collaborating with cross-functional teams of scientists and engineers. The position requires proficiency in Python programming, knowledge of data structures and algorithms, experience with software engineering tools, and familiarity with HPC environments and parallel computing frameworks.
