The role
Support underground utility construction projects by assisting with installation, maintenance, and repair of water, sewer, gas, and telecommunications systems.
Prepare and maintain clean, organized, hazard-free job sites, including trenching and barricading work areas.
Perform manual digging and operate trenching equipment safely, adhering to trench safety standards.
Assist in laying, aligning, and connecting utility pipes and support repair and replacement of damaged systems.
Handle materials and equipment, load and transport tools, and ensure proper storage to prevent loss.
Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, identify hazards, and support equipment operators and utility locating tasks.
