The role
The IP Counsel role leads the development and execution of the company's intellectual property strategy in a high-tech, life sciences environment.
Responsibilities include drafting and prosecuting US and international patents to robustly protect innovations.
Develop and manage a global IP portfolio, including freedom-to-operate analyses, patentability assessments, and risk mitigation.
Collaborate with R&D, business development, and leadership to identify key inventions and guide licensing, collaborations, and due diligence.
Advise on IP licensing, M&A due diligence, and regulatory submissions, and support IP litigation or post-grant activities when needed.
Coordinate with external counsel on complex prosecution, opinions, and enforcement, contributing to strategic business outcomes.
