The role
A procurement specialist is responsible for delivering strategic sourcing and managing supplier relationships within a complex, global engineering environment. Tasks include implementing commodity strategies, leading negotiations, and managing contracts related to pricing, delivery, and payments. The role requires analysing market trends, monitoring supplier performance and mitigating risks proactively. A focus on cost optimisation, quality and productivity is essential, along with supporting strategic programmes and supplier strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management skills and experience in a global, matrix organisation.
