The role
A backend developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure and scalable backend systems and APIs using technologies such as ASP.NET, Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, and Ruby on Rails. They collaborate with front-end teams to integrate applications leveraging frameworks like Angular, React, and Bootstrap. The role involves managing database design and optimisation across relational and NoSQL solutions such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Candidates should have experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure and adhere to GDPR privacy laws. Competence in secure data handling, API security, authentication, and version control systems like Git, GitHub, SVN is essential. A degree or equivalent experience in software development is preferred, with an emphasis on creating secure, efficient, and compliant systems.
