The role
As a Data Scientist on the Risk Team, you will develop and optimize machine learning models to detect and prevent fraud within a fintech payments environment.
Analyze large-scale datasets, extract actionable insights, and deploy robust, scalable risk modeling solutions to protect users and merchants.
Bridge theory and practice by delivering practical ML systems for risk assessment and mitigation in production.
Collaborate with risk analysts, software engineers, and other data scientists to improve model accuracy, monitoring, and regulatory compliance.
Required skills include Python and SQL, ML libraries (Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow), Google Cloud, and data visualization to build dashboards.
A proactive, autonomous mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team is essential.
