The role
The role involves developing secure backend systems, APIs, and data routes compliant with UK GDPR regulations. The candidate will build and maintain scalable server-side applications using diverse technologies including ASP.NET, Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, and Ruby on Rails. Responsibilities include designing RESTful APIs, integrating front-end elements, managing database optimisation, and deploying applications on AWS and Azure cloud services. The developer is expected to ensure secure authentication, conduct code reviews, and develop comprehensive tests to maintain high quality. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, SVN, or TFS is essential, along with a strong understanding of API security, data management, and scripting languages. A degree or equivalent experience in software development is considered advantageous.
