The role

A Legal Counsel position is available in Mississauga focusing on data governance, privacy, AI, and regulatory compliance for a healthcare-oriented organisation. The role involves advising on data privacy laws, developing policies, and supporting technology initiatives while managing legal risks. Candidates should possess relevant legal experience, excellent negotiation skills, and knowledge of privacy legislation such as PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25. The role requires collaboration with multiple teams to ensure legal and regulatory compliance across digital health projects. A law degree and membership in the Law Society of Ontario are mandatory criteria. Experience in healthcare, AI governance, or related fields and bilingualism in English and French are considered advantageous.
