The role
Lead the financial accounting and reporting for a complex UK business, owning month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP/IFRS and maintain balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliations.
Own the external audit process, manage auditor relationships, and coordinate with HMRC as required.
Take full responsibility for UK tax compliance, including corporation tax computations and VAT submissions.
Develop and enforce financial controls, policies, and procedures while mentoring junior team members.
Drive continuous improvement across accounting and reporting processes and partner with stakeholders to support business decisions.
