The role
A Photographic Officer in Belfast is responsible for producing high-quality photographic and digital images of heritage assets both in the field and studio, including artefacts and copy work. The role involves assisting with specialist photographic survey techniques such as measured and photogrammetric surveys, as well as managing photographic records and digital asset databases. The candidate will also produce video content for conservation and social media, alongside overseeing scanning programmes for high-quality digital preservation. The position requires technical skills in photography, digital editing, and studio work, with experience in heritage or archival environments preferred. The role demands teamwork, transport, and a relevant qualification in photography or an equivalent recognised standard.
