The role
Position Overview: Environmental Engineer focused on delivering design and environmental compliance services for moderately complex transportation projects.
Responsibilities include hazardous materials surveys, sampling, abatement design, NY/NJ site remediation oversight, and facility environmental compliance (NPDES/NYSPDES, stormwater, SWPPP, air permitting, SPCC).
Design and document stormwater and erosion-control plans, prepare technical reports, drawings in AutoCAD, cost estimates, and project specifications.
Lead assigned projects, coordinating with internal teams and regulatory agencies to obtain permits and approvals.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, 4+ years in design or environmental compliance, AutoCAD and ArcGIS proficiency, and a valid driver's license; asbestos abatement knowledge (AHERA/NYSDOL) a plus.
Desirable: EIT or PE candidacy, strong communication and leadership skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
