Performance musician – United Kingdom

Performance musicians are needed in various hospital settings across NHS Lothian to perform music for patients, providing stimulation and boosting mood to aid recovery. The role involves playing acoustic instruments such as guitar or violin, creating set lists, engaging with patients, and summarising performances for the Tonic Arts Team. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with high competence in playing instruments like the violin or guitar. They must be committed to high performance standards, adaptable in non-traditional environments, and capable of working independently within set boundaries. Adherence to health and safety regulations, confidentiality, and NHS values is essential. Ongoing support and training will be available, with flexible weekly hours typically from 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm.
