The role
The Environmental & Sustainability Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving the site's ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 50001 Energy Management System, ensuring compliance with UK environmental legislation. They will manage environmental permits, conduct audits, and oversee waste and incident management while engaging with regulatory bodies. The role requires developing policies, tracking environmental performance, and identifying sustainability initiatives to foster continuous improvement. Candidates should possess a degree in Environmental Science or a related engineering discipline and have experience within manufacturing environmental roles. Technical capabilities include managing environmental legislation, permits, audits, and environmental systems in a manufacturing environment.
