The role
Develop evaluation frameworks for autonomous vehicle performance, large-scale ML models, and simulation quality.
Create new metrics, interpret trends, and investigate anomalies in data from simulation and on-road driving.
Design novel statistical methods for AV data, including rate estimation for rare events and integrating real and synthetic data.
Frame ambiguous problems by scoping priorities and innovating on statistics to deliver measurable impact.
Derive data-driven conclusions and communicate findings to senior stakeholders, establishing yourself as a project lead.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to enable deployment readiness and mentor other data scientists.
