The role
Lead and manage an advanced IP practice in Portland, providing strategic counseling on patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters.
Advise technology startups and established firms on building, protecting, and monetizing diverse IP portfolios.
Conduct comprehensive prior art searches and draft and prosecute patent applications across multiple technology sectors; shape global IP strategies.
Provide IP due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, negotiate licenses, and oversee disputes through litigation or alternative dispute resolution.
Mentor junior attorneys, foster cross-functional collaboration, and drive a culture of legal excellence and client satisfaction.
Requires JD, Oregon bar admission (or eligibility), and a strong technical background in engineering or computer science, with proven analytical, research, and writing skills; international IP experience is a plus.
