The role
The Regional Communications Manager supports and develops communication volunteers across RNLI lifeboat stations in Scotland. They work closely with media trainers and regional leads to recruit and enable volunteers to create engaging local news stories, videos, and social media content. They also assist in planning fundraising and water safety campaigns, maximising storytelling impact and safeguarding the charity’s reputation. Working remotely within central or northern Scotland, the role involves regular travel throughout the region and flexibility for outside normal hours, including weekends and evenings. The role demands experience in supporting volunteers, media relations, social media, and video production, alongside understanding diverse community needs and news agendas.
