The role
The role involves co-leading weekly music sessions for home-educated children aged 5‑11 at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music in Gateshead. Musicians will contribute to session planning, artistic design and attend meetings and training as necessary. Candidates should have experience performing or singing at a professional level, working with children, and teaching diverse musical styles. Skills in music methods such as Kodaly and Dalcroze, and an inclusive approach to music education are essential. They must adapt to a supportive environment, promote musical inclusion, and support programme evaluations, ensuring activities meet various needs and interests. The position requires working on Wednesdays from 11.15am to 12.30pm, with a fixed-term contract supporting community engagement and musical inspiration.
