The role
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care for cardiovascular ICU patients across developmental stages.
Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop realistic, measurable plans of care and discharge strategies.
Provide direct bedside care, coordinate activities, delegate appropriately, and ensure safe, evidence-based practices.
Monitor hemodynamics and manage invasive devices and therapies, including IABP, CRRT, vasopressors, and Swan-Ganz catheters.
Utilize advanced respiratory and cardiac support technologies such as ventilators, ECMO, VADs, and other modalities as prescribed.
Document care accurately, participate in quality improvement efforts, and mentor peers while promoting continuous professional development.
