The role
Review physician orders to confirm exam appropriateness and ensure the correct procedure is performed.
Select appropriate exposure factors based on body part, pathology, patient age, and equipment characteristics.
Position patients correctly and review images for proper technique, identification, and diagnostic quality before interpretation.
Perform a variety of general diagnostic imaging studies with efficient workflow while adhering to exam protocols and quality standards.
Prepare contrast media and assist with GI/GU studies, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Interact with patients, families, and staff professionally, applying AIDET principles and maintaining radiation safety; participate in continuing education.
