The role
Musical Accompanist: Catholic Liturgy and Worship
Accompany Catholic Masses, liturgies, and special services with piano or organ, collaborating with the Music Director and Priest to select liturgical music.
Play for congregational singing, choir performances, and other musical elements, ensuring a high standard of quality and reverence.
Maintain musical instruments, prepare liturgical music, and comply with copyright laws.
Requires strong knowledge of Catholic liturgical music, traditions, and practices, with piano and/or organ proficiency, sight-reading, and transposition skills.
Minimum 2 years' experience as an accompanist in a Catholic setting, with ability to collaborate with choir directors, clergy, and other musicians.
