The role
A senior data scientist is expected to develop and deploy predictive models, explore new data sources, and work with large and unstructured datasets. The role involves taking ownership of projects, translating business challenges into analytical solutions, and mentoring junior team members. Skills required include advanced Python and SQL, experience with machine learning techniques like XGBoost and CatBoost, and familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure. Knowledge of geospatial and footprint modelling, along with stakeholder management abilities, are essential. Experience in insurance is advantageous but not mandatory, and a strong analytical mindset is crucial.
