The role
Provide legal guidance on the regulatory and contractual aspects of bank lending platforms, including SAL, PAL, mortgages, and unsecured loans.
Advise cross-functional teams—senior bankers, credit, and operations—through origination, servicing, loss mitigation, and new product development.
Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements and borrower documents, crafting standard forms and practical risk mitigations.
Ensure compliance with UCC Articles 8/9, TILA/Reg Z, ECOA/Reg B, FCRA/Reg V, FDCPA, UDAAP, and related consumer and commercial lending laws.
Manage outside counsel, develop efficient processes, and provide actionable guidance to mitigate legal risks in a fast-paced environment.
Support private banking and wealth management initiatives with strategic legal counsel on default, loss mitigation, and regulatory inquiries.
