The role
The role involves designing, building, and maintaining AI agents and copilots to enhance the Roku TV experience, including integrating these systems with internal tools and services. The engineer will manage the entire lifecycle of AI agent development, from architecture and prototyping to deployment and monitoring, ensuring high performance and reliability in production. Responsibilities include developing scalable retrieval and grounding pipelines, implementing tool and function calling integrations, and establishing evaluation and observability for AI systems. The candidate should have relevant experience in software engineering and AI, with proficiency in Python and experience with large language models and agent frameworks. Collaboration across teams and clear communication are essential skills for success, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Technical expertise with cloud deployment, containerisation, and AI evaluation is highly advantageous.
