Deaf Support Worker
Role: Deaf Support Worker focused on adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs in an inpatient setting. Provide physical and emotional support, guided care, and assistance with medical and welfare needs. Work full-time (37.5 hours) with 12-hour shifts across days, nights, and weekends. Native British Sign Language or Level 2 proficiency required for a deaf service; enhanced DBS check needed. Three-week induction followed by ongoing learning through an apprenticeship scheme and coaching. Safeguard residents, maintain a safe, clean environment, and promote independence and empowerment.
