The role
The School of Nursing & Midwifery at Queen's University Belfast is seeking a Professor in Nursing with expertise in health and social care to lead research initiatives. The post involves supporting and developing collaborative research projects across various themes, while contributing to teaching, learning, and capacity building within the School and faculty. Candidates must demonstrate experience in chronic ill health, mental health, or dementia care, with an extensive record of publications and successful grant applications. Recognised as an international expert, the candidate should have a robust research profile, experience in supervising students, and strategic leadership in research and education. The role requires management skills, involvement in administrative activities, and contribution to organisational initiatives aligning with the School’s priorities. Preference will be given to applicants at professorial or reader level, with a focus on impactful research and academic leadership.
